Indian Wedding Sash
From the Kutch area of Gujarat, India, this wedding sash was embroidered by women in the family of the bride and the family of the groom, and joined at the nuptials. Each half of the sash is ornamented with the same design, but in a palette unique to the different families. This is a museum quality piece, one that could be hung in a narrow space, like a bell pull, or appreciated out on a table.
A meaningful gift for a couple joining their lives together, as the cloth is joined, with great love and many hands.
